Unsloppy AI is an AI-powered fiction co-writing platform. You write alongside AI models to create stories with branching narratives, using our Story Wizard, Lorebook, and intelligent generation tools.
How do I create my first story?
After signing up, click "New Story" from the sidebar. The Story Wizard walks you through setting up your characters, tone, pacing, and world. You can also start from a blank page and begin writing immediately.
What languages can I write in?
Unsloppy AI works best in English, but most AI models support other languages. Generation quality may vary depending on the model and language.
Is there a mobile app?
Unsloppy AI works as a Progressive Web App (PWA). On your phone's browser, tap "Add to Home Screen" for an app-like experience with offline support.
Ink & billing
What is Ink?
Ink is the currency that powers AI generations. Each generation costs a certain amount of Ink depending on the model and output length. Free accounts get 36 Ink daily; paid plans get more.
When does my Ink refill?
Your daily Ink allocation refills at midnight UTC. Unused Ink does not roll over. Paid plans also receive a monthly bonus on renewal.
How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Go to Settings > Subscription and click Manage. You can change your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings > Billing and click Cancel Subscription. You keep access to paid features until the end of your billing period. Your stories are never deleted.
Writing & AI
Which AI models are available?
We offer a range of models through OpenRouter, from fast and affordable options to premium models. Each model has different strengths for different genres and writing styles.
What is the Lorebook?
The Lorebook lets you define characters, locations, items, and lore that the AI references during generation. It keeps your story consistent across long narratives.
Why is my generation slow or failing?
This usually means the model is under heavy load. Try switching to a different model, reducing your output length, or waiting a few seconds and retrying.
Do you claim ownership of my writing?
No. Everything you write and everything the AI generates for you belongs to you. We claim no rights or ownership over your content.
Privacy & account
Are my stories private?
Yes. Your stories are private by default and only visible to you. You choose whether to publish them. We do not use your writing to train AI models.
Can I use my own AI endpoint (BYOK)?
Yes. In Settings > Privacy, you can configure a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Your stories go directly to your model provider and never touch our servers.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Danger Zone. Type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes your account, stories, and all associated data.
I forgot my password.
Click Forgot password on the login page. We'll send a reset link to your email.
