Unsloppy is a manuscript editor with an Agent Mode that talks to AI when a chapter needs help. The lorebook, branches, and curated model catalog stay attached to the draft, so the AI sees the book before it touches the prose.

Why we built this

Most AI writing tools are wrappers around the same general-purpose chat models — trained on internet text, code, and customer-support transcripts. When a novelist asks one of those models for a scene, they get the average of every prose sample on the public web: AI-isms, neat little turns of phrase, dialogue that sounds like a workshop tells the truth.

Unsloppy curates a catalog of open-weight models that already write fiction reasonably well — Magnum, Euryale, Anubis, Loki, Hermes, and a Gemma free tier — and routes each draft through the model best suited to the scene at hand. Romance, fantasy, thriller, and dark fiction get a permissive model that doesn't break out of character. Continuity and revision passes get a tighter model. The model is a writing decision, not a vendor decision.
